The 2010 Hills Relay for life is back for another year and Norwest Recruitment is gearing up to participate in this event. This cause is very close to our hearts as we have had our very own staff members loved ones affected by cancer. It is an emotional struggle that both the sufferer and supporters have to endure.
The staff at Norwest Recruitment and those participating in The Hills Relay for Life will come together on Saturday May 15, 2010 at the Castle Hill Showground to raise money for Cancer research. Participants raise money by teaming up in groups of 10 – 15 and walk or run around the oval. Candles will be placed in paper bags with inscribed messages from friends and family as a remembrance of those who have lost their battle and we will also celebrate those who have fought and won against this disease.
Survivors and their carers will be invited to walk the first lap of the track, while the rest cheer them on. There will also be a fight back ceremony where participants make a personal pledge on how they will make a change to fight cancer.
